Founded from frustration and fueled by curiosity, Michaela created Quiet Grove Botania after growing tired of plant apps cluttered with ads, locked features, and paywalls that made learning feel inaccessible. She believed plant care should feel welcoming, inspiring, and genuinely educational; not “pay-to-play.” So instead of settling, she built the kind of resource she wished existed herself: a thoughtful space designed to help people grow confidently alongside their plants.

MossLight™ was designed to be a calm space where people can grow alongside their plants without overwhelming paywalls, intrusive advertising, or unnecessary complexity.

At its heart, MossLight™ exists to make plant knowledge more accessible through thoughtful care tools, detailed educational resources, gentle organization, and a growing library of botanical information designed to support both casual hobbyists and dedicated collectors alike.

Currently, the app carries a small introductory cost on the iOS App Store to help support development and operating expenses. However, the long-term vision for MossLight™ has always remained the same: to one day make the app completely free and accessible to everyone once sustainable funding becomes possible.

Quiet Grove Botania is presently a one-person studio, and every purchase directly supports the continued growth of MossLight™, including ongoing development, expanded educational resources, new features, accessibility improvements, botanical artwork, and the cultivation of a thoughtful, plant-loving community built around curiosity and care.
